If I could have a proper motorcycle club filled with dykes and queers, I would. Apparently, to have a “real” motorcycle club, you must ask permission from the nearest 1%er group. I am not into asking permission or violence, so I will opt out of having a “real” club.
Dykes and Gorgons is a collective for Dykes and Queers to get on two wheels and ride. The freedom and power you feel on a bike is like nothing else. The idea of Dykes and Gordons is borrowed from a lesbian publication from the early 70s out of Berkley. The idea that there are dykes and other folks who aren't quite dykes but sort of associate with them or fall under the same umbrella seems more gender inclusive to me than many of the other lesbian publications I have encountered from that time.
